Repertoire

Genres I Play

From the time I first started playing music at the age of 5, I have been highly influenced by music with strong melody and depth.  This crosses the line into many genres of music including in order that I started to develop them as a kid:  Nostalgic and American Classic, Romantic Era Classical, Music from Movies & Television, Country Music, Pop/Rock.  Throughout all this, I simultaneously was developing my Original Music composing styles which included all these categories and more, including Music of Faith, Christmas Music, and World Music.  It is this cross section of melodic influences that has strongly shaped not only my music repertoire and influenced my original music, but has formed a very clear purpose and vision for my music, which I believe is for uplifting people and is very intentional.  Please take the time to examine my over 850 song listings in my repertoire listings.  I am quite confident you will find that interesting.  Enjoy!

Pop/rock Music

I have put this category of my song lists into several parts:

80’s Music: I play so much more of this now compared to when it first came out and am enjoying the recent revival of it and seeing younger audiences...

Country music

Ever since I first heard Olivia Newton John sing “If You Love Me, Let Me Know” in 1974 on country radio stations, I have liked country music a lot. I am picky. It must be quality singing and great melody. My repertoire reflects...

Movie & TV Music

This category is in 2 parts:

MOVIES: When I was a kid, I began noticing music in movies like “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World,” “2001 A Space Odyssey”, etc., and the music would swirl in my head for days and even weeks following the first time viewing of such movies...

Old movie film canisters

American Classics / Nostalgic / Rag

One of the first styles of music I played was fox trots since the piano rolls I first learned music from were mostly pop music from the 1920’s. Fox trots dominated the massive piano roll collection my parents had gotten with their player piano when...

Classical

Strong melodies, passionate expressions, and key changes are common characteristics of music I include in my classical repertoire. The music of Johann Strauss Jr., “The Waltz King” is some of the best music in the world! Beethoven’s Fifth is...

World Music/ Miscellaneous

The fantastic instrumental music of Yanni like “True Nature” and “Santorini” started arriving on the scene in the 1990’s, so I include that here along with older music like “La Mattchiche” (The Woman) and “Valencia”. “La Mattchiche” is a fun...

Music Of Faith

The listing of songs here represents a huge variety of music styles and eras spanning many years and generations. The temptation here, by some, might be to think “this is just church music.” Well, let me tell you that in this listing you not only have old hymns...

Christmas Music

When I first started playing Christmas Music, I played everything straight without changing the style or tempo, etc. and tried to always play in the original key. But since then, I often play much of this music in different keys, sometimes different tempos...

Original Music

I have composed a lot over the years. Even though most of my original music has not been included on my CD albums, I fervently believe that what I have included is the best of my material to date. In most cases, the songs were...
